Progress Reports headed home on Tuesday. 01/28/2012
Progress reports will be sent home on Tuesday with students. Please check the parent portal regulary for the most up to date postings of grades. If your student turned in an assignment after grades were posted, it will not be reflected on the paper copy on the progress report. I urge you to check the portal, under the report card tab. Hope this helps to avoid any confusion or frustration. 8th grade will be beginning a new unit this week...Earth Cycles. We will be looking at seasons and the tilt of the Earth and understanding how one affects the other. The key is to make the connection between the two. We have a great lab associated with this topic. 7th grade is continuing with the Cell, but now we will be going a little more in depth referring back to the historical misconception of spontaneous generation and comparing it to the current science of Mitosis. We will map out the phases of Mitosis before we begin our next unit on the Human Body...I can't wait! This is my favorite topic! Happenings this week...
