70-79% = C

What if I fail to turn in an assignment and it becomes a zero?
Zeros are unacceptable. Students will be required to do the work within that grading period. Efforts will be made to assist a student who has a zero, such as attending ZAP lunch or coming in for tutoring. There is no late penalty. Students will have the opportunity to turn in an assignment as long as it is before the units summative assessment. The student should schedule a time for reteach and must complete the assignment in tutoring. The teacher will keep the assignment for the student until it is completed. ( Example: It may take you 3 days in tutoring to complete the assignment) It must be completed before the summative assessment ( major test) for that unit in order to get credit.
What if I pass an assignment or test but want to improve my grade?
Students will have the opportunity to redo an assignment or test once for a better grade. The student must schedule a tutoring time for reteach and the redo assignment must be completed in tutoring. Summative assessments (tests) will be in an essay format and the student will have to attend a tutoring session first, then return to take the retest.
