Science Journals and Table of Contents
In Science class we will be using composition notebooks. Please get the standard hardcover and not plastic cover. We glue things onto the covers and the pastic does not stick. Students should purchase 2. We will use one for each semester. They should keep one at home and have it ready for use when we return in January after the winter break.
We will be using our Science Journals every single day and students should have them with them when they come to class. We will have a chronological table of contents that will be updated daily and I will post it on this webpage weekly. If a student is absent and is needing to update their table of contents, they should check here first before asking the teacher. They can also check with a fellow classmate for updates.
The Journal will be set up in the following manner:
First Page - Titled Table of Contents
Three columns using the margins of the page to include in this order...
Date.....Description...Page #
(Skip 6 pages, front and back for a total of 12; do not number these)
Seventh Page - Titled Warm UPs
(Skip 10 pages for warmups - feel free to dog ear the top page; do not number these either)
Eighteenth Page - Begin numbering on the bottom, right hand corner, starting with page 1.
Odd numbered pages will be on the right while even numbered pages are on the bottom left.
